The purpose of the Student Success Team (SST) is to help students with academic, behavior, or other concerns. The team consists of classroom teachers, the school principal, and other district/community resources as needed. Meetings are held to help teachers, parents, and students address their concerns.
At times the outcome of the SST meeting is a referral for a Special Education assessment. However, the team's primary purpose is to assist students in meeting their academic/behavior needs within the general education setting.
Parents and/or teachers who feel that a student should be referred to the SST may initiate the process by contacting the school principal or team coordinator.
